Checking Things Off Lists...

..."twas the night before the big event" and here's my loaded sleigh...

I felt a little like an elf with my big red sleigh filled with all these christmas-y things..

This entire Holiday Season (since before Thanksgiving) I have stressed and worried about this event....

I was mostly happy with how things turned out...

it helped knowing that all this was being done for a good cause "The New Hope Crisis Center" in Brigham City, I hope they have a good christmas. We raised lots of money and collected lots of p.j.'s for them.

I have great friends and neighbors and many who supported my efforts. Thanks to you all~

It was kindof wierd, There are things that I wish I could have changed, but I was too tired to care! (I probably shouldn't openly admit that....)

Overall, my vision for the day was fulfilled, and the event was a success.... so cross this one off my list!

3D paper snowflakes

Just a few things I've been doing today...

*I can't wait for December 17th*

(benefit concert at BRHS where these decorations will be hung)

have you seen these? Here is a great tutorial on how to make them...click here
(...and then come back)
they're really cute white too... my kids and I made them on Sunday afternoon with just white computer paper and they are quite large. I decided that I would try them colored and on card stock. The green is from 12x12 and the red and blue are just 8.5x11. I like that they are nice and sturdy and will look really cute hung from fishing line. If you live here in Tremonton and want to see them up close and personal, (either come over...) or Dalton's has them in their display window, these same color's and everything.

they may look hard, but they are really simple.

let it snow!!!

Just reminiscing... of fields of flowers in beautiful San Diego

Last spring on a trip to San Diego we went to the flower gardens in Carlsbad

and saw these beautiful poinsetta's. I had never seen so many kinds in my life, I had a hard time choosing which one I liked the best. But I really think the hot pink ones (second picture down) were the most brilliant and striking! Just thought you might like to see them too!

giant ornaments

{nice helmet... :) he he!}

the contraption they are hanging on is a drywall lift... *we're also working on the basement* it's handy for holding my projects...

this one is way too plain... but I might just leave it like that. I really wish you couldn't see the lines from the paper, but oh well. (not everyone is as perfect as Martha... I tried sanding them like she said... :)

remember thepaper mache project?

Just an update... these are by no means complete... but they are coming along. I'm sortof making it up as I go and they need some help still...

but your creative input would be well appreciated. Here's what I'm thinking... the lines can use some touching up maybe with the help of some glittery puffy paint, some swirls of something, maybe an embelishment of ribbon, pearly stick on something....

keep in mind these will be hung and seen from a distance, so the mummy affect really won't matter all that much. but how can I make them look more tree ornament-y?

please, do share...
